About our foodbank

Are you going through a tough time at the moment? Is someone you know? Littlehampton & District Foodbank can help: we provide emergency food for local people in need.

Our office is at Littlehampton Baptist Church on Fitzalan Road (next door to the library), but our foodbank sessions are in the rear hall of the United Church at the end of the High Street. Part of the Trussell Trust network, we provide a minimum of three days’ emergency food and support and can also connect you with other local organisations that offer different kinds of assistance.  Although based in Littlehampton we cover a much wider area, including East Preston, Rustington, Angmering and Arundel.  In 2023 we gave food and toiletries to 3,109 people in our local community.

The foodbank is open to clients every Tuesday and Friday, from 1pm to 3pm.  You can find more information here, or you can contact us on 07925 862289 or at [email protected].

Every day, people in our area go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.  People are referred to Littlehampton & District Foodbank by a variety of local organisations, including Children & Family Centres, schools, Housing Associations, Turning Tides, Mind and Citizens Advice.

If you would like to know more about this or would like to become a referral agency, please contact us.

If you are a local business or individual who shares our belief that no-one should go hungry in our local area, we’d love to hear from you.  There are many ways to get involved, from fundraising to volunteering and sharing your expertise.

Littlehampton & District Foodbank is more than somewhere to get emergency food.  It is a welcoming, friendly place where local people can share their stories and be helped to find ways out of their crisis, whatever that may be.  If you need our help please contact us.
