2016 How Did We Do?

4th January 2017

During 2016 we received in 10,791.0 kg of food and distributed 10,439.7 kg  Of the stock received in, a massive 96% was received from public donations. Although in some cases people donated through Supermarkets or local Schools and Churches, it was ultimately individual members of our community who bore the cost.  Without your help we would not have been able to provide 1,092 3 day food parcels to people in need.  394 of these were for children. Overall we provided enough food for 9,828 meals.

Once again Benefit Changes and Delays together accounted for the highest proportion of voucher referrals at 43.2%  followed by low income at 26.9%

Although  they do not appear in our statistics, we would like to pay tribute to the many volunteers who gave up so much of their time to keep our Foodbank running.
